Settlement Rules

1.1 A wager is accepted only once it is confirmed on the Platform and appears in your account history. Selections in your Bet Slip are not wagers until they are placed and confirmed.

1.2 The odds that apply to a wager are the odds displayed at the moment the wager is confirmed. Odds may change at any time before confirmation.

1.3 Wagers are settled in Australian dollars (AUD). Returns are calculated as the stake multiplied by the confirmed odds and are credited to the wallet from which the stake was taken.

1.4 Templebet.co settles wagers as soon as reasonably practicable after the official result is known. Settlement times vary by sport and event; most pre-match sports markets settle within minutes of the final result and racing markets settle once correct weight is declared.

1.5 Once a wager has been confirmed it cannot be cancelled or changed by the customer, except where these rules expressly provide for a wager to be voided.

2.1 Markets are settled on the official result declared by the relevant governing body, league, racing authority or tournament organiser at the conclusion of the event, including the outcome of any on-field review that forms part of the event itself.

2.2 Subsequent amendments to a result — for example following a protest, appeal, disqualification, drug test or inquiry after the result has been declared — do not affect wagers that have already been settled, unless the amendment occurs within 24 hours of the official result being announced and before settlement has taken place.

2.3 Where no official result is available, Templebet.co will settle on the result published by the recognised statistics provider for that sport. If a result cannot be reasonably determined, the market will be voided and stakes returned.

3.1 Match Winner / Head to Head markets are settled on the result at the end of regulation time, including injury or stoppage time but excluding extra time, overtime, golden point or penalty shoot-outs, unless the market name states otherwise.

3.2 Where a draw is a possible outcome and a "Draw" price is offered (for example A-League football), a drawn match settles the Draw selection as the winner. Where only two outcomes are offered on a market that can end in a draw, a draw results in the market being voided and stakes returned.

3.3 For AFL and NRL Match Winner markets, a drawn match at the end of regulation time results in the market being voided and stakes returned, unless the market rules displayed state that extra time or golden point applies.

3.4 Line, total and margin markets are settled on the official final score for the period stated in the market name. Where the result lands exactly on the line or total, the wager is voided and the stake returned.

3.5 If an event starts before its advertised time and a wager is placed after the actual start, the wager will be voided unless the market was expressly offered as an in-play market.

3.6 If a team or player is withdrawn or does not take part before the event begins, wagers on that team or player will be voided and stakes returned. Wagers on other selections stand.

4.1 Racing wagers are settled on the official result declared by the relevant racing control body after correct weight (thoroughbred), all clear (harness) or the official result (greyhound) is declared.

4.2 Win wagers are settled on the runner that finishes first. Place wagers are settled on runners finishing first, second or third in fields of eight or more runners; first or second in fields of five to seven runners. Where fewer than five runners start, place betting is voided and stakes refunded, with any win portion of a win/place wager standing.

4.3 If a runner is scratched after a wager is placed, the wager on that runner is voided and the stake refunded. Fixed-odds wagers on the remaining runners are subject to the applicable deductions published by the racing authority in accordance with the official deduction table, applied to the winnings only.

4.4 Where a runner is declared a late scratching after the race has commenced (for example a runner failing to leave the barrier), the wager stands and is settled as a losing bet in accordance with the official result, unless the racing control body declares the runner a non-starter.

4.5 Fixed-odds prices are those displayed at the time the wager is confirmed. A later change to the price offered on the Platform does not affect a confirmed wager.

5.1 A multi (multiple) wager combines two or more selections into a single wager. The odds of each leg are multiplied together and a single stake applies across all legs. All legs must win for the multi to be paid.

5.2 If a leg of a multi is voided under these rules (for example a scratched runner, an abandoned match or a market that is voided), that leg is treated as having odds of 1.00 and the multi is settled on the remaining legs.

5.3 Selections from the same event that are related — where one outcome affects the likelihood of another — cannot be combined in a multi. If such a combination is accepted in error, the multi will be voided and the stake returned.

5.4 Multi returns are subject to the maximum return limits set out in Section 10.

6.1 A dead heat occurs when two or more competitors are officially judged to have tied for a placing. In a dead heat, the stake is divided by the number of competitors sharing the placing, and the divided stake is paid at the full odds of the wager. The remainder of the stake is treated as a losing wager.

6.2 Example: a $10 win wager at odds of 4.00 on a runner that dead heats for first with one other runner is settled as a $5 stake at 4.00, returning $20.

6.3 Dead heat rules apply equally to sports markets in which a tie for a position is possible (for example top goal scorer or fastest lap), unless the market rules displayed state that a tie is settled differently.

7.1 If an event is abandoned, cancelled or postponed and is not completed within 48 hours of its originally scheduled start time, all wagers on markets whose outcome has not already been determined are voided and stakes returned.

7.2 If an event is completed within 48 hours of its scheduled start at the same venue, wagers stand. If the event is moved to a different venue, wagers on Match Winner markets stand unless the change of venue gives home advantage to the team that was originally the away team, in which case the market is voided.

7.3 If a race meeting is abandoned, or a race is abandoned or declared a no-race, all wagers on that race are voided and stakes returned.

7.4 Where an event is abandoned after it has started, markets whose result has already been determined at the time of abandonment (for example first goal scorer, first-half result) are settled on that result. All other markets are voided.

8.1 Templebet.co makes every effort to display correct information, but errors can occur. Where a wager is accepted at odds that are materially different from those available in the general market at the time (a palpable error), or on a market that has been incorrectly named, priced or set up, Templebet.co may void the wager and return the stake, or settle the wager at the correct odds.

8.2 Wagers placed after the actual start of an event on a market that was not expressly offered in-play are void.

8.3 Wagers placed by a person who is self-excluded, is under 18, is located outside Australia, or is otherwise not permitted to hold an account under our Terms & Conditions are void and will be dealt with in accordance with those Terms and applicable law.

8.4 If a settlement error results in an incorrect amount being credited to your account, Templebet.co will correct the settlement and may reverse the incorrect credit. If the error results in a negative balance, the shortfall must be repaid before further wagers or withdrawals are permitted.

9.1 Showdown entries are settled from the Showdown Account Wallet in accordance with the rules displayed for each Showdown contest at the time of entry.

9.2 Showdown results are determined on the official statistics published for the relevant events. Contests that cannot be completed because of an abandoned or postponed event are settled in accordance with the contest rules displayed, and where no result can reasonably be determined the entry is refunded.

9.3 Product-level deposit limits for Showdown are managed separately from the Betting Account. However, BetStop (the National Self-Exclusion Register) and any self-exclusion applied to your Templebet.co account apply to all wagering services and accounts, including Showdown.

10.1 Winnings are credited to the wallet from which the stake was taken as soon as the wager is settled. Settled funds can be withdrawn in accordance with the withdrawal terms in our Terms & Conditions.

10.2 The minimum stake is AUD 1.00 and the maximum stake is AUD 10,000 per wager. Templebet.co may apply lower limits to specific markets or customers at its discretion.

10.3 Maximum returns: AUD 250,000 per wager for thoroughbred, harness and greyhound racing; AUD 100,000 per wager for AFL, NRL and A-League markets; AUD 50,000 per wager for all other sports and for multis. Where a wager would exceed the applicable maximum, returns are capped at that amount.

10.4 Where the same customer, or customers acting together, place multiple wagers on the same outcome, the maximum return limit applies to the combined wagers.

11.1 If you believe a wager has been settled incorrectly, contact our support team via the Contact Us page within 14 days of settlement, quoting the bet reference from your account history. We will investigate and respond within a reasonable timeframe.

11.2 If you are not satisfied with our response, you may escalate the matter to the Victorian Gambling and Casino Control Commission, as set out in Section 09 of our Terms & Conditions.

11.3 Templebet.co's decision on the settlement of wagers is final, subject to any regulatory intervention.
